FOUR COMPANIES GET JOB CREATION AWARDS Excerpts form the Daily Gleaner – July 28, 2004 Four companies were recognized by the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) at the organization’s 29th annual Job Creation Awards Ceremony held at the Terra Nova Hotel on July 28th. The awardees were: British Caribbean Insurance Company Limited (BCIC), Guardsman Armoured Limited, NCB Capital Markets and Grace Kennedy and Company Limited. BCIC received the Small Business Award for creating five (5) new jobs at the company’s newly established ASSISTCare Centre. Mrs. Mavis McDonald, Manager Human Resources & Administration received the award on behalf of the company. The PSOJ Job Creation Awards ceremony is held monthly in partnership with Cable & Wireless Jamaica to award the spirit of entrepreneurship and to recognise local companies in various sectors for their contribution to employment. These jobs must be created without assistance from the Government. |
