If driver is a learner, a copy of the Provisional Driver's Licence and licence of person seated beside the learner
Certificate of Fitness and Vehicle Registration Certificate
Estimate of repairs from repairer if claim is for damage to the insured vehicle
Proof of insurance (Certificate of Insurance/Cover Note)
Please note that: -
All incidents must be reported to the Police within 24 hours of its occurrence
All incidents must be reported to BCIC as soon as possible whether or not you intend to make a claim or whether or not you are at fault
You must not admit liability, make any offer of or payment to any person
Your Accident Report Form can be submitted prior to the estimate of repairs
All legal correspondence received (e.g. Claim Form) must be submitted immediately to BCIC either directly or through your Broker or Agent.
The Accident Report Form must be signed by policyholder and driver (if driver is not the policyholder)
Where your motor insurance certificate/cover note is lost, stolen or destroyed, complete a Loss Declaration Form and have it signed in the presence of a Justice of the Peace and submit to BCIC.
For all other documents, substitutes must be obtained from the Collector of Taxes.
