    How to make a Claim

    Making a Claim - House and Contents

      Here's what you need to do…
    • 
    Make a list of all damaged property
    • 
    Contact BCIC, your Agent or Broker as soon as possible
    • 
    Complete the Home "Cover-All" Claim Form within 30 days of the incident and submit to BCIC, your Agent or Broker
    • 
    If your building is damaged, obtain an estimate from a repairer of your choice
    • 
    Should your premises be deemed uninhabitable seek alternative accommodation
     
    In the case of burglary or housebreaking notify the police;

    Secure the premises as necessary;

    Take photographs of damage where possible.

    In the event of burglary do not touch or remove damaged items until after the arrival of the police.

    BCIC will make arrangements to have a Loss Adjuster meet with you for the assessment of the loss or damage.
